Squad members with the Curator role have the ability to add and remove subjects from database items in bulk with the Add And Remove Subjects batch action in the Manage Database Items tool.



How to use the Add And Remove Subjects batch action:


  1. Select the items you want to add subjects to or remove subjects from.

  2. Click Batch Actions > Add And Remove Subjects
  3. You'll see the Add/Remove Subjects page with several fields, both an Add field and a Remove field for each category of subjects that can be present on database items: Brand, Series, Related Subjects, Autographed By, and Exclusive To.

    Use the fields to enter subjects that you want to either add to or remove from all of the items you selected in step 1. Any or all of these fields can be used at the same time. Multiple subjects can be entered in each field, allowing you to add or remove more than one subject at a time.

    Note that the Autographed By and Exclusive To fields should only be used to add subjects if all of the items selected have the appropriate production status ("Autographed" or "Exclusive").

  4. When you're ready to proceed, click the Submit button at the bottom of the page. The changes should happen almost immediately (unless the server is under heavy load; in that case, it may take up to a couple of minutes for the changes to take effect). Be cautious with this tool—there's no "undo" button!
